Parlor Painushima is a shaved ice shop in the center of Taketomi's village, in front of the Taketomi Folk Craft Museum. Its signature dish is Okinawa ice zenzai (sweet red bean shaved ice) with milk. Reviews repeatedly say it has irregular days off and that it is lucky to find it open. The listed hours are 11:30-17:30 (closed Tuesdays), but it closes early when the ice runs out.

Ferries and timing are in Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal; the island itself is on the Taketomi Island page.
